Malaysia Aquatics (MAS) is proud to announce the national swimming team that will represent the country at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games 2025, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand from 10–15 December 2025.
A total of 24 athletes have been selected following a rigorous evaluation of performances across domestic and international competitions from August 2024 to August 2025. The line-up reflects a balance of experience and youth, with 54.17% seasoned swimmers alongside 45.83% first-time SEA Games competitors.
The squad is divided into two qualification tiers:
- Category A – athletes who achieved at least the 3rd place timing of SEA Games 2023, fully funded by MAS/MSN.
- Category B – athletes who met the 6th place timing standard of SEA Games 2023, partially subsidised.
Leading the charge are established podium names including Khiew Hoe Yean, Phee Jinq En, Andrew Goh Zheng Yen, and Bryan Leong Xin Ren, supported by a strong contingent of emerging talents such as Tan Khai Xin, Chong Xin Lin, and Isabelle Chiyi Buckley.
The swimmers will be accompanied by an experienced team of officials led by Team Manager Ms. Yap Jia Jun, Technical Director Ms. Megan Oesting, and National Coaches Eric Anderson and Magnus Andersen, alongside state assistant coaches, Mr. Albert Yeap and Mr. Sung Jun Hao.
Malaysia Aquatics extends its appreciation to the MSN Podium Programme, MSN Pelapis Kebangsaan, and State Development Programmes for their vital contributions in nurturing the national team pipeline.
The contingent will depart Kuala Lumpur on 8 December, with swimming events scheduled from 10–15 December in Bangkok, before returning home on 16 December.
